Congressman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) issued the following statement on her vote today in support of H.R. 5682, legislation approving the application to build the Keystone XL Pipeline.

“The American people are sick and tired of the games they see being played in Washington. They don’t want political games – they want solutions. The Keystone Pipeline project will create jobs, lower gas prices at the pump, and protect American energy security. The American people want the pipeline to be built and they want their elected officials in Washington to get it done.

“Today marks the ninth time the House has acted on the Keystone Pipeline. After 6 years of playing the waiting game, we are looking forward to Senate Democrats finally getting down to business next week and joining the House in approving this important jobs bill so it can be sent to President Obama’s desk. It’s encouraging that Senate Democrats finally seem to be listening to the American people. I hope the President is listening too.”
