Congressman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN-7) issued the following statement today welcoming the constituents who stopped by her Franklin office to voice their opinions about Obamacare.
“I always appreciate hearing from constituents who take the time to stop by my office and voice their opinions. We all share the same goal of increasing access to healthcare, but we have a very different philosophy of how to achieve that goal. They would prefer a government-centered approach. I prefer an approach that puts the patient at the center and allows them to make the choices that are best for them and their family.
“From all of my listening sessions and meetings throughout the district, the one thing that concerns Tennesseans most is the negative impact the implementation of Obamacare is having on their lives. From labor unions to national advocacy groups, we are hearing both locally and nationwide that there are serious questions about President Obama's Affordable Care Act. It isn't ready for primetime. That's why I'm continuing to work to delay, defund, repeal, and replace it with patient-centered, market-driven healthcare reform.”
