Blackburn Announces Congressional Art Competition


Selmer, TN, Feb 21, 2012 - Congressman Marsha Blackburn (TN-7) today announced details for the 2012 Congressional Art Competition to high school students gathered at McNairy Central High School. The annual art competition is sponsored by the U.S. House of Representatives and recognizes one outstanding artist in each Congressional District. The winning piece of artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

"The Congressional Art Competition is a great opportunity for students to share their creative talents and have the chance to represent their school in our Nation's Capitol. Tennessee's Seventh Congressional District is known for it's rich artistic history, and I encourage all high school students to participate in this wonderful program."
