Blackburn Responds To Petroleum Reserve Release
Falling Poll Numbers Aren't A National Energy Crisis
Washington,
Jun 23, 2011 -
Congressman Marsha Blackburn (TN-7) made the following comment on news that President Obama would authorize the release of 30 million barrels from the Strategic Petrolium Reserve:
"I am appalled but not surprised that the President views his falling poll numbers as a national crisis. I see them as a leading indicator. They indicate that the American people are tired of Obamacrats blocking the development of reasonable and affordable energy resources. The President has temporarily increased oil supplies at a time of falling demand. He should have heeded the demands of the American people and opened access to our vast national energy potential."
